- A few years ago when I moved to St Charles, my brother and I planned on biking the trail. We got in touch with a "tour planner" at Momentum Cycles in St Charles (http://www.momentumcycles.com) and they hooked us up with several services and discounts. Our plan was to ride Amtrak with the roll on option out to Sedalia and hit the trail from there, either go to Clinton or head back to St Chuck. The planner arranged for packages containing clothes and gear to be sent to several B&Bs along the way where we planned on resting for the evening. Before we could get our bikes out, I was mobilized for Iraq and we didn't go. If you go to the website and click on the Katy Trail Package, that is not what you want, the package is for bike gear like helmets and water bottles. We planned this out in 04, not sure if they still offer the tour deals or not, but its worth the call or email. Hope that this helps. -ryan aka rdwelker On 2/7/07, john leenerts <johnnybgood1@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > - > I have a 1999 edition of Katy Trail Guidebook by Brett Dufur.
