So far we are high and dry. I've not been down to Portage for a couple of days
because the Elm Point levee has taken precedence. Lower Portage has water and
the marinas are under water. Where the Foamy cache was is under probably 10'
of water. North 94 is closed towards West Alton. We were down on Portage Rd a
couple of days ago and the water was even with the road at the bridge. Water
was over the Rd at Rees and Portage Rd and there was water at Smartt Field and
on Grafton Ferry Rd. The Elm Point area is a mess. So far there is no water
where pntball works but those lakes behind are full to the tops and the creek
is almost to the top of its levee. That was at noon today.
Any other time I would say we were in no danger here from the Mississippi, but
I'm beginning to wonder this time.

Life is way to short to take serious.
