As many of you know BlueBeadMan has organized a "Caching and Camping Weekend" on June 15-17. It is listed as GC12CP2 and looks to be a great adventure for geocaching in the Branson area. I've done 95% of the area caches and would like to recommend a list of caches that are not time consuming and are enjoyable to find. That list is attached hereto. In addition, I expanded this list to include the caches in route and in the Nixa and Ozark area to the north of Branson and to Branson West area. I hope you will find this list helpfull if you plan on coming down to enjoy the activities.
In the event that you chose not to camp, Big Cedar Lodge and College of the Ozarks offers wonderful accomodations about 15 minutes away from the campgrounds. Personally I'll be staying at Big Cedar along with Lancelot (Glenn), IWEW-RET (Larry) and JanS03 (Jan). Check with BlueBeadMan for other local accomodations as there is at least one motel (who's name I can't remember) off of HW 165 close to the campgrounds.
Our current game plan is to be in Rolla at the Shoney's (last Rolla exit on the outer service road) at 9am for breakfast. Then do the Rolla caches then head down the highway. You are welcome to join us there! We'll probably hit a few caches west of Rolla - rest stops and Lebanon, in route to Branson. Maybe include Ozark/Nixa caches too.
