Worked for me this morning.
I clicked on someone's log entry, which
took me to their profile, where I proceeded
to send them a geocaching.com email.
I just tried it in Netscape 4.79 and IE 6
and had no problem.

Has anyone been having problems accessing the profiles from log entries or
the placers profile? For about the past week, my PC does a hard lockup once I
select profile. Ctrl/Alt/Del won't reboot, I need to his the reset button.
