A good point was raised, ?Why the odd amounts posted as contributions?
well, I?ll tell ya.

It has to do with how much I need to get a really good cigar and? ops, wrong
answer? :-)

Credit card fees. Anytime we use a C.Card anyplace to buy anything, it
costs the merchant a fee. In our case, the fee is $0.30 + 2.9%.

So lets figure a $20.00 donation gets 0.30+.58 = $.88 fee. I depoed, $19.
then the .12 went to the web account sometime later mixed in somewhere else.
And a $4.00 donation gets a fee of 0.30 + .12 = .42 for a donation of $3
something?

Boooo I thought, till I was searching alternate services. A friend of mine
has the Amazon.com service. I was all set to go with it till I saw their
fees. $0.15 + 15%. Which adds up do a bunch more so I didn?t pursue it.

Making donations from your bank account is free and not accessed any fees at
all.

So anyway, that?s the story. In case anybody was wondering where their
extra bits of monies were going.
