I heard about that...the name isn't exactly embedded in my brain yet. Give me a
week. LOL

  Chris;

Yes, it's stands for Meramec St. Park. And that is where we hope (not
confirmed yet) to hold next years event. Apparently there was some confusion
about the use of "competition" in the name and many felt it was not a family
type event. That wasn't true so for next year (April 8-10, 2005) it will be
called "Midwest Open Geocaching Adventure" or MOGA.

We still will have competition or timed events, but as this year there will
be plenty of caches to hunt and other "non competition" events and programs
planned.

      Thanks Tim,
I just went back and added 2 logs to the 101 for the 2 caches we found.
Kinda bummed out that the friend I took doesn't seem to have signed up, I'll
try to find out this weekend if he decided it just wasn't his cup of tea of
what his deal is. He certainly seemed to enjoy himself last Saturday.

Looking forward to the Picnic in May, many group caches, and helping with
the 2005 event at MSP. Is MSP a confirmed location or still waiting on
approval?

Sara we are glad you had a good time! I think your idea about us
wearing name tags is a good one. You will meet a lot of people
helping/attending next years event at Meramec State Park.

You should log the event one time for attending and then for how many
of the three caches you found. If you found the micro and the ammo box log it a
total of three times, if you found all three caches log it four times. Does
that make sense!

Some may very well disagree with my thoughts on this for various
reasons but I'm going to throw it out there anyways. Here it is a week after
the 101 even that I attended, and don't get me wrong I did have a great time
and hope I don't come off sounding too demanding or whiney here. As most of
you know, I've been around this list since October even though I don't post a
ton. I learned some things about caching that I didn't already know and got
some ideas for other things to carry with me that I hadn't yet added to my list
before. Overall my only complaint would be that I ws kinda hoping to be able
to at least put a few more names to faces. For many people that hadn't been
lurking here for a while I guess it wouldn't make much difference but seeing
the names and emails all the time makes one curious.

In my case I walked away knowing who Rich, Glenn, and one of the
Jim's (Dorkus & Co) were. And thanks again Glenn for tweaking my GPS for me.
I gather that Bernie was the one in the SLAGA hat, only b/c I thought I
remembered hearing he wore the crazy shorts at MIGC and saw a pic of him w/the
shorts and hat on at the same time. Tonight I went back and was reading some of
the logs from the 101 and realized there were a bunch of SLAGA people there
that I would have liked to have met or at least had a chance to know their
names so I could put them to faces. I couldn't stay afterwords for the group
cache (where I would have met some more SLAGA people I'm sure), as I had a
tired 4 year old and also had to get her back to St. Charles by 4pm. I plan to
attend future events and group caches to get to know everyone better and enjoy
some caching companionship and the 101 didn't change my thoughts on that at all.

Also one quick question.....Was I supposed to log the 101 as found
twice since I got two of the caches? I only logged it once but then saw that
some others had logged a find for each seperate cache they found. Which method
is generally accepted?
