Rachel Hardwick, Sr. Project Manager at Bioware Austin will be
discussing the trials and triumphs of production in the game industry.

Meeting format and topics will include:

• What does a games Producer do?
• What is the difference between a “Development Director” and a “Producer”?
• What is the difference between internal and external production?
• What can you expect working for a small development studio vs a
large one in a production capacity.
• Q& A session

About Rachel Hardwick

Rachel Hardwick has a BS in Finance from the University of Oregon and
11 years experience in game production and project management. Her
industry experience ranges from handheld to RPGs, from Dreamcast and
PS1 to Next Gen console and MMO PC games. Rachel has worked as both an
Internal Development Producer (LucasArts, Secret Level/Sega,
TrionWorld Network and Bioware), an External Producer (LucasArts) and
even had a brief stint in the Internet world managing website
development for a couple San Francisco based advertising agencies.
Rachel is currently applying her mad production skills at BioWare
Austin as a Sr Project Manger (Development Director) on Star Wars: The
Old Republic.

Room 3140, Austin, Tx 78758.
