The easiest format for this would be to use ASE - it's a text based format and easy to pull those details from - its also a common format. For a list of file formats try www.wotsit.org. Other formats that might be worth looking at are .3DS and .X Adrian -----Original Message----- From: gameprogrammer-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:gameprogrammer-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Szasz Pal Sent: 04 March 2005 08:56 To: gameprogrammer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [gameprogrammer] 3d file formats Hi! I developed a small application, for which I would need a 3D model converter to my own format. I need only some basic things: verteces and faces. I want the converter tu support the most popular 3D formats. Can you point me to a website which contains description about popular 3d file formats. Btw, the application is the "Animated Stereogram" for Symbian (http://www.saxoft.com/st3d/) I want people to be able to make their own 3d models and wach them as stereograms.
