Lab Agenda, April 13, 2004
:: FreeBoxes
The next FreeBox class is April 17, so building FBs is a priority tonight
for tech volunteers. If we don't build enough, I will postpone the class.
Also we don't have enough CDROM drives so we'll refurb boxes without them
and offer to install drives when they are available. I ordered drives for
$5.00 each from PC Surplus Online, but they probably won't arrive in time
for lab.
:: Tech Day in Chicago, April 24
April 24, traditionally Earth Day in the midwest, I would like to visit
John Billings and the recycling/community center operation in Chicago. But
I don't want to drive alone. Is anyone else interested in a field trip?
Check your calendars before lab.
:: Tubs and Tools
I have a second load of monitors from Notre Dame Federal Credit Union. Our
recycling volunteers will help me unload the old Astro Beater. I will bring
as many 386/486/586 boxes as I can from my garage for the recycling
volunteers to disassemble. If there is time, and the volunteers need more
recycling material, I will make a second trip to get more boxes.
Olin won't be at the lab tonight, and he has the transport tubs for
components. So the demanufactured components will need to be stacked in the
Upper Room somehow.
Olin's excellent toolkit won't be at the lab either. Everyone bring some tools.
