I or we will use the programming occasion to teach basics in
apache/html/css/tcl/rivet/sqlite at the warehouse or our lab.

Subject: [frgeek-michiana] Apache2 + Rivet

Since I'm at a stand still until I can take a look at something
involving the Advanced Service Management Processor side of the Colo
server that requires me to be at the console (read I can't do it
remotely)....

Soooo....... I took a side bar to have a look at seeing how well rivet
was working with Apache2. The least attempt revealed that rivet compiled
but generated runtime errors in Apache2.

I downloaded the new source code via svn this afternoon. I did notice a
fairly significant change in how they compile the module now. So after
reversing 'my knowledge' of compiling it and going down their road for
compiling it we HAVE A WORKING module!

To compile rivet (my case Apache2, apxs2):

aclocal
autoreconf
./configure --with-tcl=/usr/lib/tcl8.4/ --with-apxs=/usr/bin/apxs2
--with-tclsh=/usr/bin/tclsh8.4 --with-apache-version=2
make
make install

Website: (temporary)
https://ke4rit.dyndns.org/frgeek

You will get the login screen but you will not go any further then that.
The site has been broken down since Debian pushed Apache2 on me (us) and
rivet wasn't Apache2 ready.

Well Tom <nudge> looks like were going to get to add programming back to
the list of things we need to get done. <grin>

Actually, I'm going to withhold re-deploying the volunteer database
until we get the colo server configured, relocated and running which
should be soon.

Richard
