The safest way (not the easiest way) is to restore the tape to a system
drive and get the control processor on line and than make the save_all. This
would require the whole set of hardware (AP or AW and nodebus and control
station.)

If, however, a save_all automation utility was used. The save_all's may be
on the harddisk in a usable format.
Typically I would expect them to be in the /opt partition (more room there)
in a directory samed savealls, save_all, SAVEALLS or something like that
(unless someone is really trying to make it hard to find of course).
You could contact the site admin to find out if and where they are stored.
If you do use the save_alls from the harddisk, don't forget the (hidden)
.CompoundDir file to make sure the compounds are loaded in the same
sequence.

If you do not have a save_all script, there are some available on the
Cassandra - and related sites.

Good luck and Regards

Subject: [foxboro] retrival of a CP content from the dump

Dear All,

I have a problem in getting the saveall from my client site. But i have the
latest dump tapes collected a couple of days ago.

Currently, a particular area in my client site is working with a CP
communicating via FBC. We are in the process of changing all the signals
that are routed through FBC to Din mounted FBMs.

MY PROBLEM

Since im not in a position to collect the saveall for that CP from their
site, i have to use the existing dump tapes to collect the content of that
CP.

Can anyone kindly suggest me, if there is any way or any procedure to
recover the content of a particular CP from the dump that i have collected.

Thank in advance,

warm regards,
gopi
