To answer my own question, in case anyone else benefits:
I got a refurbished HP 6122, hooked it up, turned it on, and it works
perfectly, no need to install new drivers or anything. I count that as a big
plus for those of us who still use legacy systems.

Subject: [foxboro] replacing hp 6122 printer

Anyone know if there's any problem getting any ol' refurbished hp 6122 deskjet
printer (from Amazon, etc) to replace an old one on the DCS? The one we have is
connected by parallel cable to a P79 AW (but can be used to print from any
workstation on the nodebus), and this printer has been very finicky lately. I
want to avoid having to reinstall drivers, redo software configuration, etc, if
possible.
