The items in a shortcut menu can be passed the tag on the display using the @
symbol. Other DM variables are available as well. This should be in manual that
I mentioned along with the DM commands manual - B0193MF.

Alex,
i got the external code done, what i am working now is how do i
parse the tag information out of DCS using a script.... to an external vb
script that will pick it up from there to open up relevant
page.............any ideas or docs
