Thanks! This will be good opportunity to brush up on my Spanish...
You'll never know when I'll need the work "AUYDA!!!"... (basically every
time anyone depends on me to speak Spanish). And if it's as good as
you say... I'll buy the second round as long as someone translates for
me.

Thank Again,
Jeff

Although it's a bit dated and entirely in Spanish, this little tool....
http://thecassandraproject.org/archive/wf2cae-3.0.2.zip

....will take various versions of savealls and spit out a ICCDRVR.TSK
dump, pretty durn close to a ICCPRT.

Some helpful translations:

Nombre del CP =3D name of CP
Plataforma =3D platform
Fuente =3D source
Destino =3D destination
Archivo =3D File
Auyda =3D Help
Convertir =3D Get'r'done

Pick "Save All" in the "Fuente" box and "ICC api" in the "Destino" box.

It's a tremendous tool - wish I could buy that guy a beer.

I know this is something only integrators may have the need for...but
maybe nice for advanced users...or what the heck everyone may want it
and it'll be the greatest thing since Windows on cell phones. (Just the
thought of Microsoft watching out for us on cell phones brings out the
overwhelming sensation of nausea to my Saturday morning!)

Hopefully, someone has done this and would like to share...

I would like to look at what's in a saveall in an ICCPRT form without
having to do the grudging task of=3D20
* load it into a Foxboro work volume on an "OFF-LINE" box (where the
COMPOUNDS do not already exist in the CSA).
* performing an ICCPRT against the work volume
* re-initializing/purging the work volume to take out the trash.

It would be nice to be able to look at the saveall files on any ole' PC
that has unix scripting capabilities. This would give the capability of
quickly looking at numerous old savealls from the same CP to find where
something may have been previously configured. =3D20

Of course my need is to be able to have many customer savealls on hand
w/out the corresponding ICCPRT floating around as well. As the need to
review logic / details arose I could quickly bring up which ever saveall
is relevant whether the current saveall or a prior saveall.

I know... some people must think I'm crazy for thinking about these
kinds of things on a Memorial Day Saturday morning when my kids are
still watching cartoons... that's what this business does to my poor
engineering brain... or maybe it's having David Johnson as a co-worker
that does it to me???

Thanks,
Jeff Ellis
