Make sure AutoBoot is set to TRUE in your EEPROM Settings. -----Original Message----- From: foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Prinsloo, Anton Sent: Tuesday, September 04, 2007 2:21 AM To: foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [foxboro] P81 Boot problem Dear all, First a note of thanks for all those who helped me with the e-mailing of system messages from my Unix system - much appreciated! All resolved and she's working a treat! A new one:=20 I have a P81 machine which, for reasons I really can't figure out, stops dead at the Forth toolkit prompt, it needs a " boot disk" command to get it to carry on. Once that is done - all appears well until the next reboot, when we get stuck at the prompt again. This happened once before on an old AW51B box, but I did not pay it much attention since it was on a hot spares cabinet in the technical workshop and it is now "advantage upgraded". Is this an EPROM issue, a problem with the software on the hard disk or is it a hardware problem. Advice I received is to purchase a new machine and this is, to my mind, NOT a satisfactory solution. Hope to hear from others with a similar experience?
