Ali, Are the AW51E's of the same type? Some AW51E's are ultra30 machine some are Ultra60 machine. On a ultra30 machine the internal and external scsi bus are the same. On a ultra60 machine the internal and external scsi bus are different. So if you restore a tape make shure that the machines are of the same type. If both machines are ultra 60's a tape from a external drive should be restored on a external drive. (Internal/external scsi bus is different on a ultra 60) Regards, Rob de Groot, Invensys Process Systems NV Baarn, The Netherlands. -----Original Message----- From: foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ali Ahmed Sent: Wednesday, March 29, 2006 3:07 PM To: foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [foxboro] Hard disk restore on AW51E Hi All, Is there any issue of host id if a tape backup of one AW51E is restored to another AW51E having same hard disk size. We are trying to restore a tape backup of AW51E (having two mirrored 18.2 GB hard disks) on another AW51E having single 18.2GB hard disk. The system completes the restore successfully but on reboot it goes into reboot cycle. Do anyone has experienced such problem before? Kindly share your experience.
