Dale, Do you get a lock file generated in /usr/fox/sp/locks Create the file /usr/fox/sysmgm/softmgr/file/sm_errs, this file will show any boot problems. Below is an overview of the boot process for a CP, DI30s are a little different because they require the special image files in /usr/fox/sp/files to boot but it may help you fault find. As Sean mentioned use the ds_stasict to see what files it is looking for. *CP BOOTUP* m:ss 0:00 CP is rebooted or reset 0:08 CP sends boot request to all APs (verify with: snoop -t a -x 0 01:00:6c:0f:0f:0f) ... I have a FD30B that they want me to install but I cannot get it to Boot. It is on a Version 8.6 I/A System with a P91 Server 2003. I've tried the hardware elsewhere (Same System in Same Slot but Different Letterbug) and it works fine. So Hardware is ruled out. However it will not boot on this system with it's own LetterBug and I've tried changing the Letterbugs several time in case I had a bad one. I see a Letter Bug for it in System Management and I assume all has been committed correctly. Does anybody have any idea of some files I could check? I would assume the software is correct as well or the other one would not boot either.
