Joe,
If you don't want to reboot, you have to change the IP address manually
(and possibly the netmask also) using the ifconfig command, and also edit
the file /etc/hosts (really it's /etc/fox/hosts) to make it permanent.

ifconfig hme1 down
ifconfig hme1 xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa
ifconfig hme1 up

Use the proper interface name: hme1, hme2, etc.
