Kevin,
I've always done alarm destinations either with the station block or
Compound group device not both at the same time. =
Enlighten us, are there situations where this would be both useful and
Supported ?

Scott,
Could you elaborate on the station block and compounds both being
configured? I hadn't noted this being a prohibited configuration
before.

Check this first
Is devmon.cfg the same on a potential masters and slaves ?
Is the devmon executable compatible with all potential masters and
slaves?
Also check that the station block and compounds have not both been =3D3D
configed for Alarm Destinations.

What causes DevMon to disable "undead" WPs/AWs? By "undead" I mean the
WP/AW seems to working fine, but device monitor has disabled them. On
some of our systems when a certain WP becomes DevMon master after a
while he will fail some devices that haven't failed. When other
machines are master we don't have problem, until the Zombie master WP
takes over.

It retries and that causes delays in sending out alarm messages.
DevMon disables "dead" WPs/AWs, but it has not impact on any other alarm
destination, e.g., a Historian that is turned off, FoxPage, or a
misspelled target. In these cases, the CP will retry each time it needs
to send a message to that destination.

List,

If the CP60's GR1DV1 is a typo or perhaps an AW's letterbug instead of
the AW - WP logical name, does the CP60 continue to try and send out
the GR1 alarms to this non-existent device or does the process mark the
name as bad and stop trying to send alarm messages?
