Much better! Thanks for the speedy reply. Yeah, it wasn't one of my best answers. Let's try this: We have a target of March 2007 - this date like those for most unreleased products are available from your account representative. As for why it is taking so long, the answer is simple. It's a lot harder than expected. For example, because OpenWindows is not available we have to adjust to that for applications that use it. Additionally, Bristol Technologies was not planning to port Wind/U to Solaris 10. That added unexpected costs and delays. We've worked our way through these issues, but it has been a challenge. The March 2007 date appears pretty stable. As for version numbers, we see the next several and their areas of emphasis as: V8.1.1 - FCP 100-Series I/O (released) V8.2 - WinXP SP2 (new NutCracker, new eXceed, etc) V8.3 - ZCP with 100-Series I/O V8.4 - SOTM Of course, there will be other items, but these are the big ones. Is this better? Alex, That answer was sufficiently vague, which is unlike you, (the detail guy). Is there still a plan for Solaris on the MESH? If so, is there a projected time frame for it? If not, what is the reasoning? It must have been a fairly recent decision that Solaris on the MESH would not be included in Ver. 8.2. The talk and presentations we have seen all pointed in that direction. Our account rep has retired and our new contact has not yet been announced. Thanks for any details. Alex, We have heard for some time that Solaris AW hosts on the MESH would be introduced with the Ver. 8.2 software release. Is that still the case? Thanks for any info.
