A replacement for the IPC API is not available.
FoxAPI/AIM*API provide replacements for:
1) OM API
2) Historian API
3) CSA API (never published before)
But the IPC API is a gap.
For some things, you might find FoxPage or Event Driven Scripts useful. You can

Can you use the FoxAPI interface? I talked to Alex at the users group meeting,
and he indicated that it would probably be the best method of connecting to the
I/A subsystems, although it does not have ALL of the old functionality the IPC
calls gave you, I believe it has most of that functionality.

in the past under SOLARIS I'm was able to receive messages with my own
programs using the IPC library. In the programming interface I miss such
functions. Is there a way to port my applications?
