I used your SV name BFAW70_HB and no smurf occurs.
 
omcrt -b BFAW70_HB
 
then connect BFAW70_HB to a box that has one color for  TRUE and another color 
for FALSE.
Colors toggle as I change the state with omset  AND as I move mouse into the 
box and left mouse click.
 
This is AW70CP at V7.1 with FoxView 9.0.1

Sure, I know that, but when I try to connect a fill color to  BFAW70_HB it
smurfs.   However /opt/fox/bin/tools/omgetimp returns a good boolean value
for BFAW70_HB.  Remember I created this om variable on the AW and there is
no associated .CIN or .BO1 or .ANYTHING, just the object name itself.
