FoxAPI will not broadcast - after the first time - if you are using = V4.2.5 or later. It adds the tag's top level name (compound) to the IMPORT table on the machine. Any subsequent accesses will go to the CP that holds the data = and only that CP. However, you should be aware that this is a relatively slow process (one-shot gets) and you cannot expect to do this for very many values = per second. Eventually, you will overload the CP and lose messages. Depending on what is being done on your system, you may need to = increase the size of the IMPORT table. You can check on the available space in the = IMPORT table by issuing the following command: /usr/local/show_params If you are running low on free entries in the IMPORT table, contact TAC = for instructions on how to increase it.
