Bersama ini kami sampaikan bahwa Himpunan Ahli Geofisika Indonesia akan
mengadakan Luncheon Talk yang akan diberikan oleh Prof. M.T. Zen dari
Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) dengan tema "Beyond the Continental Shelf
(State of the Art of Deep Offshore Technology)". Luncheon Talk akan dilaksanakan
pada tanggal 17 April 2002 di Hotel Mandarin, Jakata, mulai jam 11.45. Acara ini
akan diikuti oleh peluncuran buku The Geodynamics of Indonesia Region yang
diedit oleh Prof. M.T. Zen. Informasi lebih rinci dapat dilihat pada bagian

on the GEODYNAMICS OF INDONESIA REGION
SUMMARY OF THE TALK
The purpose of this talk is twofold : First to present a short summary on the
state of the art of deep offshore technology; second is a short discourse on the
direct relationship between geodynamic processes and the progress of deep
offshore technology.
This talk will cover several fundamental questions about deep offshore
technology. These are :
* what is exactly deep offshore technology now
* changes from shallow to ultra deep industry
* reasons to develop deep offshore technology
* new deep sea acquisition technology
* new deep sea production technology
* geodynamic implications
COST : Rp. 100.000,-/person, payable at the entrance of the Imam Bonjol &
Thamrin room;
Payment in cash only.
