I got through the training fine, and was then bumped from the site. It's back up, but the message reads "Login is currently disabled". I guess they didn't have a chance to test their servers with 100,000 people trying to log in at once to see if they could handle the traffic.

I scan the images from the top down. It worked very well for me in the beta tests, but I think it matters less how you scan than that you know what you're looking for.

The "training capability" came online approximately on schedule at about 1800Z today.
It took me about an hour to get through the training because I had to reload images after connect failures. (Dunno if problem at my end or theirs.)   Anyway, they didn't tell me how long the training would take or how many test images would be presented, so I just kept plugging until, after 10 questions, the thing said that I had passed, and they would let me register.  I got first "real image" at about 1900Z, analyzed it and responded (nothing found, of course) and got
    "Logged Out
We have temporarily disabled login in order to maintain the website. You
are now logged out. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I have tentatively adopted this review strategy:
"Start below surface (bottom of bar), looking for well-defined dark rings
as scope is recessed toward surface.
Watch each as the scope is recessed through surface and above.
Above surface the ring should diffuse into out-of-focus blur.

Anybody suggest a more precise / correct / productive strategy?

Stan

Hi again:
I'm logged on okay now. After reviewing half a dozen images the program
terminated. They must be experiencing some problems. Looks like fun!
