Not sure. CAP has been involved. I think Taos news just put out a story...at

I’ve not seen anything on this until now. Wonder why the airport community
wasn’t notified before.

All,
Just a reminder there will be a special reception and dedication at the
airport tomorrow at 9:00AM to honor Wally Funk for her service to aviation.
The mayor and other town officials are supposed to be there as well. It
should be an fun event.
Flyer attached....
Mary Wallace "Wally" Funk (born February 1, 1939) is an American aviator and
Goodwill Ambassador. Funk was one of the Mercury 13. Funk was the first
female air safety investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board,
the first civilian flight instructor at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and the first
Federal Aviation Agency inspector.[1]
Thanks!
Blair
