No good.
Might wanna try this: stop all exchange services. Rename the mdbdata
dir to mdbdata.TLA (Three Letter Acronym). Create a new mdbdata folder
and restore the priv and pub files from backup, plus all the log files
from backup. THEN start the services. Give it time to start - if
everything works right, it will take some time to read all the log
files.

Then, if everything goes ok, make your client WATCH you do a full
backup, and have said client notice that it deletes alllllll those log
files, like magic :)

If you can find them, Microsoft had a two part document about disaster
recovery for Exchange 5.5 - haven't seen an equivalent one for Exchange
2000 as of yet...

One of our clients deleted ALL of their log files to gain disk space,
now
the info store won't start. We've restored from backup with no luck. Any
advice?
