exchange 55 exchange 2003

my question is does any body know if i was to install exchnage server 2003
in a domain that already has exch 5.5 and not make it part of the same
exch site could there be a conflict what i whant to do is have 2 servers
running and migrate users my hand meaning export there mailboes and import
them to the new exchnage 2003 server the resons is that our exch 5.5 site
is very meased up thanks
