I appreciate that u know that. Why I am insist u to up grade your domain to
windows 2003 it is a temporary upgrade so that u can change your domain name,
this activity will help u to migrate your domain on some other PC

Steps
1. Your Existing domain by name somedomain.com
2. Upgrade it to windows 2003
3. Change your domain name to newsomedomain.com
4. Run LegacyDN.exc to adjust your Administrative Group Name and
Organization Name if required
5. Take system state backup Run NTBACKUP
6. Take backup of your Exchange database
7. Install a new server as u required
8. Restore the system state backup and select repair option if new system
does not start normally
9. Install exchange server
10. Run again LegacyDN to adjust the setting of administrative group and
Exchange Organization
11. Restore the database by selecting override option
12. now your newsomedomain.com is ready
