Alex,
Practically speaking, you cannot have two Exchange servers mirrored and one
server just waiting as a backup to the other. The mailboxes in the AD point
to the Information store based on the Exchange server name. IF the Exch
server is down, along with the server, the IS is also down. There is no way
to replicate the IS to another Exchange server with a different name, and
then make it online when the original server is down. You just cannot do
that. Exchange is AD integrated, and needs to update its own databases
reulary to keep in sync with rest of your network world. The options you
have for fault tolerance is go for a cluster. NLB cannot be used with
Exchange, since NLB does not provide application level FT. However, NLB may
be used for your OWA servers to provide front end load balancing.

Regards,
Raj

I don't want cluster.
I want a secundary e2k like one domain controller.
There is two domain controllers. When one is down , exist another.
I want the same with exchange

Clustering... or network load balancing... front end back end
concept.... yep there is a wide variety of choice available.

Wouldn't that be clustering? Never done it, but it is possible from
what I hear.
