Hi John, Not doing something because a company we hate does it, isn't a particularly good reason. I've noticed that most of the spam we receive fails an RDNS lookup, and pretty much all the legitimate email we receive passes. Is it possible? Cheers, Jason ________________________________ From: John Tolmachoff (Lists) [mailto:johnlist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 06 May 2004 16:26 To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: RDNS: Reject on fail l http://www.MSExchange.org/ Not practical or wise to do that. AOL, who acts like a God, does this. All the rest of us mail server admins hate AOL. If everyone played by the books, yes, that would be fine. We're running Exchange 2003. Is this possible without a third party program? I've found the option to "Perform reverse DNS lookup on incoming messages", but not the one to reject messages that fail it. Any ideas?
