Hello,

Do you have a proxy address for the actual name of the server according to your
public MX record. In other words if your MX record is foo.com do you have a
proxy address set up for each user that looks like username@xxxxxxx ? If not
you should modify your recipient policy so that it creates addresses in this
form. You should also be sure that your smtp configuration allows you to
receive mail for the domain as defined by your public MX record. Otherwise you
won't be able to receive mail.

Bill

I can connect your smtp server if you give me your ip...But I
think your exchange server has not a legal ip address and mx record
registration. You can do this via an ISP. Contact your ISP.

                Hi,

I have windows 2000 server as a domain controller, i installed
active directory, DSN and exchange 2000.

i can send emails to any user in the exchange, i can send
emails to any user in the internet for example my email in hotmail BUT when i
try to send from my hotmail account to my email at my exchange server, it
cannot be received , where is the problem in my pop3 configuration ? or smpt ?
and how i can fix this problem ?

For my dns i can nslookup it because i configured the MX record
well but i am not sure if anyone can ping mydns.com could it be the problem ?
or is it in my exchange server or active directory ?
