YAY!! I've answered my own problem.... here's the answer just in case anyone else has the same problem... SurfControl have identified the problem a couple of weeks ago, and should have a proper fix ready for the next version release. Here's the workaround... "Hi all, there is a bug in 4.6 and 4.7 versions of the Email Filter (SCEF) whereby when a message is sent in plain text, and is Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64, and is sent through the email filter with a footer rule adding a footer to the message, the message is sent with the footer applied but the body is blank. This is a bug and the work round is to create a dictionary and add base64 into the dictionary and then create a rule to say if message is sent from domain.com, then leximatch scan the message header for "base64" and continue processing. Otherwise if message is sent from domain.com, then add footer, then continue processing. Please get the company info for the bug number 8486" * One point to note is that any emails sent from OWA will not have your company disclaimer/footer at the bottom (if generated by SCEF) Regards, Rob. I have done loads of tests to about 5 or 6 test mail accounts I have with different providers, and say, 8 times out of 10 there will be no body text. I am currently building a raw windows 2000 / SMTP server to put in place of the SurfControl Email Filter (gateway), to try to rule *that* out of the equation, but I doubt it is that which is causing the problem. Has anyone out there experienced this problem?? Or have any ideas around it??? Many thanks in advance Regards, Rob.
