Mailbox limitation

Hi,
We have MS exchange server 5.5 with SP 4.0 installed in Windows NT 4.0 with
SP 6a. The problem is some mailboxes reached the maximum size limit defined
by the administrator and stop sending or receiving mails. When we increase
the size limit the problem still exist. It looks that the new size limit is
not effective. Do you have solution for that problem?
