Folder for list setup

I have a public folder for the windows2000 list services and have setup all
the messages to send directly to that folder. I can't seem to get the
exchangelist public folder to work the same way. Permissions are default =
author; anonymous = contributor. That's what's also on the w2k folder.
Any other suggestions?
