site also contains suggested email wording. Please share with family and
friends. The more support we have for dark skies the better chance we have
to keep poor legislation from passing.

Dear Scenic Arizona Members & Friends:
As noted in Update #287, the bill that would extend electronic billboards
into northwestern Arizona (HB 2507) passed out of the House Transportation
Committee on Feb 9, wounded by a 5-3-1 vote, but very far from dead. It
passed the House Rules Committee yesterday, was caucused today and is on
Calender #5 for House Committee of the Whole (floor debate) tomorrow.
*Please contact your two state representatives ASAP and ask them to vote no
on this bill. * You can refer to the House Member Roster as per Update #288
( http://www.azleg.gov/MemberRoster.asp?Body=H ;), but there is now an
easier way, particularly if you do not know which legislative district you
live in. Go to the Scenic America link below and toward the bottom of the
webpage that appears is a box to enter your zip code in (if there is more
than one zip code in your legislative district, boxes will also appear to
fill in either your address or full 9-digit zip code). Then, a page will
open that has a preset message and identifies your two reps (and your state
senator to boot) and all you have to do is fill in your name and address,
hit the submit tab, and the message goes to all three legislators. You
are, however, encouraged to refashion the preset message to better reflect
the more specific things you may want to communicate to you legislators.
