this seems to be my day for asking questions. if you teach a 4-5 point group, what bagrut modules do they do when? i have a VERY weak 5 pt 11th grade class. about a third of them are probably actually weak 4 pointers, a third average 4 pts. and the rest weak to average 5 pointers. (there are also a few kids who are very strong 5 pointers - they are doing E now and will then join another - stong - 5 point class.) i was thinking of having them do D and E this May. the ones who do very well will continue to to F and G in 12th grade the others will join the regular 4 pt class (that is doing C in May) and will do C (and D again, if they need to) in winter of 12th grade, and E again in May of 12th grade. This way only the stronger students will prepare for F and G. or they could do C and D in May, and stay together as a class next year, do E and F in the winter (some would only do E and finish English in the winter with a 4 pt. bagrut) and the stonger ones would do G in the summer of the 12th grade. the problem with this plan is that in the first semester of 12th grade i will be preparing them for E and F, and this will be very frustrating for the weaker ones, who can't really do F. i know there are schools that teach 4 and 5 pointers together - please tell me what you do. thanks, sara g -- sara g in israel sarag@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx saragabai@xxxxxxxxx Visit us at The E Zone http://clickit3.ort.org.il/ganyavneenglish ----------------------------------------------- ** Etni homepage - http://www.etni.org or - http://www.etni.org.il ** ** for help - ask@xxxxxxxx ** ** to post to this list - etni@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** -----------------------------------------------
