Hi all,

A few words about polls.

It appears that some people think, or think that you are supposed to think,
that a mere vote in a poll will bring governments toppling down around you,
or change the opinions of even the most steadfast. And they are quite
disappointed or bitter when this doesn't happen.

Well, I don't want to burn your bridges, but a poll won't do any of that.
Nor is it supposed to.

A poll is simply a means of getting the opinions (of people) by asking
specific questions.

Some people will say that there is absolutely no point to this, or that they
know what the result will be even before you begin to ask the questions.
Others welcome this tool as one of the many tools in which they can listen
to others and balance their opinions with their own line of thought.

A poll is simply raw material. What you do with it is up to you. Or you can
ignore it altogether. But don't make a mountain out of every molehill.

David
