I agree that the Meitzav exams are a waste of time. We spent 2 full days drilling the kids to no avail. The pupils did not take the exam seriously - after all they will never know their grade and neither will I. Most of our pupils walked out after a 1/2 hour. It was hot, the exam was tough, and they saw no reason to try to answer the questions. The level of the Meitzav was more difficult that a Module A exam, but without dictionaries! So what were all our lower level pupils expected to do. We should have went with the Irgun and not allowed the test to be administered. It would have saved us all alot of frustration. But half our English staff are Histadrut members - so the test went on. Kathi
