talk about stories and where to SPOT the HOTS! Then we?ll provide tips,
tools and strategies for using different story genres in the EFL classroom.

*Elana Salomon**:** British Council-** **Inspiration through Excellence* -
1908, 1944 and? for the third time London will host the Olympic and
Paralympic Games in 2012. This workshop will introduce teachers to exciting
interactive activities that can be used in class to raise students?
awareness of the Paralympic athletes? abilities, and the values of respect,
friendship and excellence they embody.

*Rehab Abu Arar, Amalia Asadi and Anne Toledo: Interactive Presentation
Tools**- *Learn how to use ?Voki ?, ?Photo Story ?and ?MakeBeliefComics?  to
integrate technology in your classrooms for use by both teachers and
students.

*Ann Shlapobersky: Using Graphic Organizers to Encourage Writing*- In this
presentation you will see how simple graphic organizers can aid your
students in developing their reading comprehension, enhancing their
thinking skills and encouraging them to write.

v  *High School**     ***

*Aviva Shapiro:* *Teaching English through Literature *- My talk will focus
on the   teaching of English as a second language through literature.  I
will discuss and demonstrate the use of a variety of methods, including
creative thinking activities, into teaching English. I will share a few
?tried and true? activities and the participants will leave with an
understanding of how to maximize the new literature program in teaching ESL.

* Richard Steinitz: *will present* *materials* *including course books and
dictionaries specifically for Arabic Speaking students and teachers. *Laurin
Lewis: * will present computer-based materials for learning English from
the absolute beginners? level up to the university level for
Arabic-speaking students. It's free for all teachers of English.

founder of FocUS Music (sponsored by US Embassy): "Making American Music
Happen in the Classroom"*- A live musical performance and discussion about
the cross-curricular benefits of American music in formal learning

*How to get to Eshkol Hapayis,Maghar:*

*From Tzomet Kadarim road: *Turn right into Maghar. You will see the prison
on your left. Continue along the main road. Take the 3rd turning on the
left (at the bottom of the valley) and continue until you see the very big
Eshkol Hapayis building on the left (in the same complex as the Pisga).



From Tzomet Golani road: Turn left at Tzomet Eilaboun and continue straight
uphill until Maghar. Turn right at the traffic circle in the village, and
drive downhill. Then take the first right (at the bottom of the valley).
Continue until you see the very big Eshkol Hapayis building on the left (in
the same complex as the Pisga).

*From the direction of Karmiel along the Akko/Tsfat road: *Turn right into
Maghar after Tsomet Hananya,  and continue through the center of Maghar on
the main road. Turn left at the traffic circle in the village, and

drive downhill. Then take the first right (at the bottom of the valley).
Continue until you see the very big Eshkol Hapayis building on the left (in
the same complex as the Pisga).
