Hi, Here's my take on the testing problem: Most schools try to work out a testing situation that allows teachers to test on a day that they aren't teaching. However, this can be a logistic nightmare due to reasons already explained by others who have contributed to this thread. In situations where you are forced to test on a day when you teach, you might want to consider the following: 1) If you'll be missing a full day's work and your school intends to dock your pay, they will do so for all the hours you miss plus all the social benefits. Your pay for testing might or might not cover your docked pay. If it covers, all's well. If not, you have two choices: 1) Accept the situation 2) Refuse to test on that day. Insist on testing on your free day. It's a headache for whoever is setting up the reciprocal testing, but they will get the idea if your school is in danger of not receiving enough testers for its own classes. Renee
