*"The Jews of India - Historical and Memorical" *
Edmund will tell us how the Jews came to India as far back as during the
reign of Solomon;how a small
group of shipwrecked Jews started the Bnei Israel Community and how the
Jews from Iraq and other
Middle East countries settled in Bombay and Calcutta.
He will regale us with memories of life in the Jewish community of
Calcutta, most of whom came from or were
descendants of Jews from Iraq.
