Subject: Grammar book replies
A number of people asked me to let them know which grammar books were
suggested for native speakers and “native speakers”.
Rather than reply to everyone individually, I am sending the
suggestions to the list.
1. Ronald Green’s High School Grammar
2. Eric Cohen’s Practical Grammar in Focus
3. Basic Not Boring series
4. Betty Azar’s Understanding and Using English Grammar (Recommended
by a number of people)
5. Warriner’s English Grammar and Composition
6. Posners’ Practice Papers
I am now going to see where they can be bought.
