I also found the taping for the matkonet exam an absolute nightmare.  The 
actual recording of 11 different test versions (4 old bagrut formats and 7 
modules) was actually the easy part.  Making enough copies of everything for 
the large number of "hakra'at sha'alon" took several days.  And then the 
hardest part was getting the pupils to find old walkmans.  Homeroom teachers 
were enlisted to help search out such outdated machines.  The day of the 
matkonet several pupils ended up sharing machines - an option not suitable for 
the day of the bagrut.  And then some of their walkmans were so old that they 
pulled apart the cassette tapes that I had so carefully prepared.  I'm worried 
the same thing will happen the day of the bagrut.  This situation must be 
reevaluated for next year.
