----- Original Message ----- From: Barry Silverberg <barisil@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Teaching wihout a License I would like to add to this thread, which has a lot of ׳¡׳?-׳—׳•׳˜ . That's a pun in Hebrew. Are there really teachers who cannot get a license to teach English? This in a country where there are a definite number of teachers who are licensed, but barely know which side of the eraser to use on the whiteboard. The truth is, Nick, that many teachers can not obtain a license as they were once caught teaching without a license. The case of Ophelia Beli is a perfect example. She thought she could get some practice without going through those tedious hishtalmuyot, so she got another teacher to let her teach in a Kibbutz parking lot. Unfortunatley, the Chief Inspector happened to be driving by, and she was charged with teaching without a license. By the way, how many of you didn't know that the ONION ( Report: Increasing Number Of Educators Found To Be Suffering From Teaching Disabilities) is a magazine of satire, and you thought it was serious. Fess up. I'm waiting to find out that the whole new Literature Module is some kind of April Fools' Joke, too. Well, happy shavuot, and see you at ETAI.
