The interaction comes after that when the examiner then asks questions using the information from the project presentation as a springboard for topics of conversation. The fact that the student may have lost his project does not prevent him from making the notes he is allowed to take in with him about his project as he has to sustain a 3 minute talk about his project without the examiner asking questions. In order to know what is important for him to say I suggest you look at the rubric assessment scale for grading that the examiners sit with (up on Anglit.net) and from the highest points given part of the rubric make a list of things the students should include in their "monologue".
