 I've asked this before but never got a satisfactory answer:
 
 How do we grade a five point compostion that uses numbering or bullets 
for
 listing instead of nice sentences with juicy connecors?
 
     1  On one hand, these techniques are used in the passages they
read.
 
     2 On the other hand, is it fair to give full marks for a bunch of
 numbers and phrases?
 
 What do you think?
