If you mean, on each row of the file-lists, the answer is no. It's too slow to 
do this properly when there are a lot of items. And it requires a source of the 
icons. Finally, IMHO some icons, at that small scale, can be hard to 
distinguish. I use gftp sometimes, its icons are a waste of space.

No. Same-pane DnD is either needed (to drop into a directory) or ignored (if 
not a directory).
