Seven birders saw 31 species at the monthly Black Mountain birdwalk this morning at 8:00 am. After a short stay at Lake Tomahawk, we headed out to Eden Lake/ Camp Rockmont west of town. We watched a Great Blue Heron try to swallow a 1/2 pound catfish (he as still working on it when we left). Highlights were Wood Ducks, Mandarin Ducks (not counted), many Tree Swallows, Brown Thrasher, many Yellow-rumped Warblers, and two White-throated Sparrows. > Mar 22, 2014 > Lake Tomahawk Stationary > 15 Minutes Observers: 6 All birds reported?
