Well if the humidity in the 50s to mid 80s is considered
dry heat then I'd hate to see it when it's humid.

We had a couple drops of rain last night. Most of it
evaporated before it hit the ground because of the heat and the little that
did hit just brought the humidity to almost 90% early this morning.

Most of the trash oaks here won't take that kind of
pruning, some already are in that range but the older ones that have not
been pruned over their life are impossible to do now. The oaks here are
often called trash oaks or dirty oaks. THey are a white oak but poor choice
of tree but you are stuck with what's here. I did cut down the cottonwood
out front. Those are awful trees. They drop nasty stuff all over everything.
Right up there with Crap myrtles. (those look nice but they spray sap all
over the place and kill other stuff around them.

As for the 30' from structure that's a tough one. The closest to
the house is about 8' it's highest branches are prob 15-20. No brush
anywhere nothing grows under the trees even in the older wooded areas. Just
bare dirt and some leaves and those leaves won't burn for anything.

We are in an older neighborhood and the part we are in the lots
are all around 1/2 acre roughly. Across one street it's a newer area with
tiny lots and cars all up and down the road and interesting people there. I
could never live in that area. Our house was built in 60 and most here are
in that range. Unfortunatly older houses are not well taken care of here
cause it's cheaper just t buy a new house... But you get no yard etc.
